Completely agree! I've always loved the German version.

I was always disappointed that Nena (the group) never came to the US to perform. Then in 2016 Nena Kerner did a three-stop tour that she jokingly called "99 Luftballons across America". She played in NYC, and I managed to get into the show, and even got to meet her and have her sign a piece of memorabilia for me.
