But seriously, what a disappointing way to start a program. Glad they recovered.

Some struggles but also some nice moments. Loved the first throw. Glad they fought through to the end.

Okay, whew! Other than the fluke fall at the very beginning and the very short death spiral that was good. They’re not the best team, but I’m going to root for them!

Early days - once they have more time together and Mark gets more settled, they have great potential

Someday I’d like skaters to discover there’s music in that ballet beyond the pas de deux and Sugar Plum Fairy but today is not that day

Sonya and Daniel are much, much better skaters than this showing. Check out their JGPFinal skates, esp the SP.

But they're a beautiful pair nonetheless, and already becoming high on my (long!) list of favorite pairs

I always hate that he said it that way. It’s not like they Did anything wrong

He definitely had moments of cruelty and dismissiveness, though I did interpret that particular one as joking frustration rather than intentional blame.

Some of the things he said about Rohene Ward back in the day were absolutely inexcusable though.
