Oh, not just American Bandstand.

I was glued to my TV on Saturday afternoon for this show: (watched Bandstand occasionally, but Don Cornelius....every week )

I will say, the show was more famous for the Soul Train line dance than couples dancing, but they did have the couples. I will contribute to the training fund of any ice dancers who use this tune in their RD (and incorporate those wonderful outfits).
(Also happens to be my favorite jam from Philadelphia's own Blue Magic)
