2024-25 Senior Grand Prix Final Rhythm Dance

Sorry if I seem a bit short. Just a few thoughts ...

L/B: Nobody mentions it but imo, they were better than the result they got. There is no favoritism for the French skaters in this event.
L/L: are on their way up but this RD is not quite Worlds ready (choreo?)
P/P : I am sad for them. Their RD is fun.
G/F: was impressed with them, so I am usually not a great fan. I believe that Charlène is improving (less stiff...)
Lilah/Lewis: Not my favorite of theirs.
Chock/Bates: I enjoyed their RD. They are projecting well and the medley works for them. Still believe that the lifts is what helps them most, though there was one iffy moment on the first of the two consecutive lifts.

All in all, I was rather disappointed by this event: everybody was skating slow ... anyone else noticed?

I like them very much but it's stiff competition here. I expected them to finish 6th.

I agree that this RD is not their best dance BUT they perform very well and should be credited higher for their brilliance.

Yes

It's the best they've done it this season. Still not my fave
Lilah/Lewis: Not my favorite of theirs.
I don't understand that the disco Brits chose the most traditional version for their RD compared to many other teams who went with fun stuff. ZZZ

Only one lift in the RD so i am not sure what you are referring to.

Did you watch on stream/tv ? Trust me, these skaters are not slow. I have seen them all live in Montreal last year, and I'd be surprised if they were slow. They are the fastest among the top skaters, + the Czechs. The issue is the camera : it's so close that we do no see ice coverage and flow...

Totally agree with you!

OK ... the beginning of the (long, elaborate) lift then, she seemed to have trouble getting into position or he had trouble 'heaving' her up (?), so much so there was a short moment I thought they were heading for disaster! Sorry, don't know how to formulate this clearer...

You could be right. I believe that camera work can make or break skating events. These skaters are supposed to be the best of the season but watching on Peacock... everyone seemed very slow and I could not really get into the event. I found it dull overall.
