The skate order would be ominous for Gilles/Poirier if this was worlds, but I don't think they have anything to worry about here, just feels weird not to see them in the top group, lol.

Do you know why? They are actually my favourite of the Canadian ice dance teams this year. I was hoping they would take silver (I assume Giles and Poirier and unbeatable domestically and will be given the PCS they need to win even if they screw up technically on one of their programmes, which seems unlikely). I hope that they haven't withdrawn because they are uncomfortable with one of the other competitors.

Zak has been playing the piano a lot recently (he rarely does in the middle of the season) so i guess the problem has been there for a while? at least since after GPF (i'm so sad they're my favorite dance team )

Injuries, illnesses happen and the fact that they just w/d at the last minute to me is reassuring. Let's see if they release an official statement.

I really wanted to see Lajoie/Lagha skate Thriller to a happy home crowd! Hope it happens for them at worlds.

Also, good opportunity for Nadia and Peter to get onto the podium this year
