As usual I can't watch live because ladies is scheduled over the top of morning ice practice in USA.
I'll catch up when I get some free time from skating and ballet.

On one hand I was really hoping to see Muravieva's FS again because I like it far more than her SP, but then again we already have a clean skate of her FS at Nats but SP had the fall so its best she gets another shot.

My prayers have literally been answered with Petrosian getting another chance with FS.

Sinitsyna, Gushchina, and Mish/Gall taking SP are all perfect moves from a viewers perspective. Same as giving the FS to Gorbacheva.

At first was surprised with Sadkova on FS, pleasantly so, but then again I guess its best to keep Frolova/Yametova on SP from a points perspective. Maybe Sadkova can finally skate a clean double quad.

Wouldve liked to see Pleskacheva on SP but glad for Dvoeglazova on FS. Also glad to see Bazyluk on FS though I dont know if I want to hear "dreamed a dream" for the 1000th time.

Expected to see Step/Bukin FS again and its a beautiful program but ice dance isnt such a big deal to me.

Overall I'm happy with the picks from a viewers perspective, though a couple odd things from a competitive perspective (which I dont care to get in to really).

They were preparing the FD. I don't understand why they decided that. Shevchenko/Ezhlov in FD is a strategic mistake in my opinion.

Indeed, like I said theres a few competitive oddities here but its not worth breaking down - I think theyre obvious to all of us.
