2024 CS Budapest Trophy Senior Women's SP

One fall and no valid combo for Pesch. No idea what jump she fell on - camera didn't just cut off her feet this time, but her legs as well.

judge number 5... really did not like maddie... marked her lowest of all judges on every element and pcs. as low as 5.75 in pcs.. maddie is not a 5.75. sorry.

I agree and I'm surprised that Maddie is in 4th place. I would have put her in 2nd place. Her last clean SP give her in the past around 69 points. So 65 for a clean skate was a low score for her. I was sad, for her because I was thinking that she deserve around 68-70 points for this skate.

Thanks @Sabsi for posting these videos so quickly.

I am so impressed by Alyssa. I thought it would take her longer to get her stamina back. My predictions (which did not include her) are dead.

Also happy Maddie did well!

Edit: And, Kimmy! Wow, so far there have been good skates, it seems!
Thank you Sabsi for posting and sharing these videos. For someone who has not skated and in competition for awhile, Alysa Liu looks pretty good; her interpretation to the music was very nice; enjoyed Lindsay, Maddie and Kimmy all good performances, the LP should be exciting

thanks you for share that link ...

I seen Lorine Schild SP and was very elegant , very French and i think is her personal style and i like her elegance and Julia Sauter with her Spanish style SP was a true surprise to me .

Lindsay Throngren SP brought me memories from Malagena SP from Sasha Cohen and was great and Alyssa was very nice and interpret the music amazingly .

Kimmie Repond and Janna Jyrkinen i liked their SP , are so elegant and is have their charm technically talking .

I'm so happy for Alyssa! I hope she continues to grow and more importantly, continues to LOVE skating.
I am.so impressed with Alysa's improvement from St. Moritz. Clean, confident, and much better levels on her spins, Her artistry/maturity is even beginning to transcend her 2022 level. I can see her PCS reaching new heights this season. She is still a fierce and determined competitor in a potentially more polished package.

So happy to see Alysa. I really didn't recognize her (except for her lutz). She's totally changed. She has a head for competition, and she just needs to tighten and straighten some things out, but I have a feeling she will surprise people come Nationals. Champions have something else, the X factor, and she is a champion. Don't bet against her. Good for her. I'm so glad she's finding herself in skating now as a young woman with some level of agency.

I wonder if there are still health limitations for my favorite Eva Lotta? I heard a while back that she'd had a very long break due to some serious issues with both feet... stress fractures or tendon issues IIRC? Wishing her the best of luck on the road to recovery. 📿 Getting back on track from square 1 has to be so hard.
