I am so impressed by Alyssa. I thought it would take her longer to get her stamina back. My predictions (which did not include her) are dead.

Also happy Maddie did well!

I'm going to admit it now... I underestimated Alysa Liu. I thought it would take her longer to become competitive at the top end internationally again and was concerned at all the expectation being placed on her. (although I am still concerned about the latter).

Just catching up- really loved seeing Alysa, and so glad things are off to a good start. Happy to see Kimmy and Madeline, now waiting for Lindsay amount others. Appreciate those posting the videos, thanks so much!

That was actually pretty good for Ema Doboszova. Yes, she fell on the lutz, but it was a good skate for her.

So happy for Alysa, I know it's just the SP but reading their comeback interviews have been so exhilarating to me. I can visibly see that they have a different relationship with their skating now- just more mature, more sure, fully owning who they and what they want to do on the ice. It's such a pleasure to see a skater find their way back and clearly wanting to be out there competing in their own way.

Me, too. I am so afraid she is going to get left behind this season since so many American skaters are doing well. (to be clear given the previous messy thread) I am not rooting against the other skaters. I just really like Lindsay. Her quiet, pretty style is so lovely and so is her program.

Yes, but she definitely had some URs in the that skate that weren't called. I hope she's figured out the jumps.
