Weird that there aren’t any of the men’s FS besides Luc Economides and Roman’s FS.
The people who had posted videos may not have had time to edit and upload the FS ones yet. It takes time, and they were being done on a voluntary basis by a fan who had attended the event. It wasn't a commercial service or organised stream. We are lucky to have had the SP videos.

Well this is super early in the season but I would have thought this should have been an easy win for the world silver medalist Levito; instead it was a miss. I was really interested in the fact that Canada sent Roman and Maddie and both were not very good at all. You would think both realized that the judges and nation are getting ready to dump them. They have been hovering around greatness or even decent mediocrit and they both underperformed. I think if Gabby Daleman can get it together Canada may have more confidence in her. Maddie's just not getting the momentum of her Olympic team skate.

It's August, most of the competitors here don't normally compete in Challengers at this time. Plus some of them were skating for a spot at Skate America, they're going to be going harder than others.

Roman improved on his SB from last season and has a better start to the season than the last one. That's a win for him. And I'll wait to see how Maddie does in the rest of the season before writing her off.

I think Kayla should also get more chances too. The fact she reigning Canadian National Champion should mean something. Maddie just seems to not to be able to put it together. So find somebody else. Gabby could do it but I wonder if she wants to do it or cares about it, I'm sorry but I remember the Skate Canada where she flounced out the K&C like she could have cared less. So if want to have faith in her fine but I think Kayla might be the better bet right now

Thank you so much for sharing your X discoveries. What an excellent performance from Lucas, and also from Jacob in the other link you shared. I’ve been looking for these. This same person has a YouTube account, and I’ve been watching more videos there. I’m going to give Chat GPT a chance to translate for me. Tell me how it does!

I think too much heavy pressure of expectations have been placed on both Maddie and Roman, which in turn has led to them placing self-inflicted pressures on themselves. In Maddie's case, especially. She performed unexpectedly well off-the-bat at the Olympics, and was suddenly elevated to star status. Maddie has not had the benefit of sharing the heavy load of expectations with stellar veteran ladies teammates. There has not been a strong Gabby Daleman to take up some of the heavy scrutiny so Maddie could develop further without such a huge, intense spotlight on her every time out.

Roman, on the other hand, was unexpectedly rushed into a position of carrying the full competitive load for Canadian men in the team event at 2022 Olympics due to Keegan Messing not being available. Sadly, it was too much for Roman to handle under the sudden circumstantial pressure. Apparently, he has had a difficult time mentally overcoming the meltdown nerves he experienced at the Olympics.
