I normally love Hongyi's skating, even though it's not always the most refined - her 3+3 is normally so nice to watch, but it didn't work out today, and it ended up being a real disaster skate. As a result, I think the whole program kind of fell flat - you could definitely see the disappointment after that opening mistake.

I was going to do the normal joke we pull out when somebody skates to Einaudi's "Experience", but after that skate, I don't feel like it.
Hongyi clearly isn't well (what we saw when she was waiting for her results proved that). And so she wasn't able to perform at the level we know she can.
Maybe it would have been better to sit this out.
But, I'm sure when she is back to full health, she will do much better.
Get well soon Hongyi!

I love this dress (but it's a Korean dress, this is not a surprise
). I have no idea how she managed to hold on to that 3+3 and eke out a solid landing! After those opening two jumps, the program was well-delivered, I loved the choreo into the 2A.
