I always find it interesting when there are errors clearly visible to the naked eye, errors that drop levels, and the GOEs are still sky-high. Definitely makes me trust Ice Dance scoring.

I like Noemi and Noah a lot, but twizzles with a dropped leg and balance check should not get +1.67 in GOE.

I have no idea why I had to watch the top 3 teams in slo-mo (I think it was my internet?) and I am not looking forward to that experience again. Anyways, thank you all so much for keeping me company, I'm going to have a late-night snack and think of the ways I can keep my sanity while still being a figure skating fan. :thank:

Wow, everyone's predictions were SOOO wrong, I've never seen such a low scoring dance event.

I thought that the Mullens were better than the Italians tonight. Their were a number of times where I caught my breath with surprise when the Mullens skated, and the Italians seemed much more... safe?

I must say I did not expect the Mullens to place so high nor Darya & Michael in third.

No joke, these twizzles tied for the highest GOE with the Mullens' twizzles - I don't think that's fair.

But then again, not like anyone watches Ice Dance for fairness.

I think we will see these teams go home, put some mileage on these programs and meet again somewhere later. Even with the warhorses, I enjoyed a lot of beautiful skating today and saw some wonderful new talent in the men, women and pairs events. Thank you Latvia!

Now I have some time on my hands, the rest of the family is watching soccer. I'll watch the medalists, and the Japanese team...any other team you'd recommend? :)
