Speaking of warhorses, I am still speechless there was no Ave Maria. It almost feels wrong somehow. Same as with junior men without any cathedrals.

Its so nice to see the GBR skaters enjoying themselves so much.

It's great to see, isn't it - I think this team has so much potential - really hope they continue with ice dance - very impressive that they perform in West End shows in London, add their own choreography to the programmes, and are only 13 and 17.

Okay catching up and the Japanese couple were stars, fun and fresh, great choice of music and costume and they were just so great to watch! The French costumes were... very French (I was put forcibly in mind of Allo Allo, oh dear) and there was rather a lot of 'girl dresses up and boy dresses... down'. Which at their age I guess is normal.

Music-wise after all four disciplines I have a feeling (and looking at the lists on GS as well) it's gonna be a warhorsey season and it's a good thing I like R&J and POTO...

Oh no, another Japanese lutz splat today and no combo for Wakaba Higuchi. But I loved how she was selling the hell out of her program after that mistake and the step sequence was very good.
