Interesting how the 3 Canadians in the SP all attempted 3f and 3lz. I think only 5 of the 40+ skaters did that here. Maybe it's time we drop the "Canadians don't have content" . Fine, it's just one small event... but if our novices have the harder triples, it's looking promising.

She was initially in 3rd, you're right. From what I can tell, there was an issue with the bonus points (think something like 3Lz+2Tb instead of 3Lzb+2T), which was corrected and this moved her up a spot.

Wow - way to go CAN ladies! Wonder if Canada is now wishing they had sent more JR ladies. Or maybe even a couple SR ladies.

Not only did they all medal but they all stayed strong after placing well in the short and proved they can do it under pressure. Something our single skaters have been lacking in a while. And all 3 actually scored well too for this level.

So pleased for our Cdn girls. A few years ago, Canada and USA had a novice series. I thought it was a good idea as it gave strong non-domestic competition without needing to fly overseas. I think COVID killed it but would be good to get back. I recall some future stars competing there (e.g., Isabeau Levito amongst others).

What is particularly impressive at Lia's age is there are no < or q's even for the triples. She has the jumping bean in her back pocket.

I saw they revised the score in the middle of the free skate. She still skated 3rd last. But, after revision, she moved up to 2nd in the SP. But, they kept her skating order. It was weird to me… didn’t impact the result

OMG! I’m freaking out right now is indeed correct. I hopped up and down in my office. I can’t concentrate on my work.
Had my morning meeting and it just ended.
She has learned another triple triple combo. 3F 3T (OMG)
Now, she can alternate between 3Lz 3T and 3F 3T depending on the mandatory single jump for the year in the JGP circuit. Also, fully rotated 3Lo too!!

She has officially mastered all the executable triples. She just needs a loop combo and 3A.

Also, she executed her 3S 2A 2A sequence.
