she's not out of it entirely, but I hate seeing her look so disappointed in the k&c

Ahhh no Amber . This program is so good, but the energy went out of it after that axel mistake, I know that's an error that Amber rarely makes in practice so it must have shaken her. She seemed really tentative heading into that element which is normally money for her, and lost almost 10 points with that. She did really well to recover with the rest of her jumps and I hope she enjoyed getting to perform to the crowd, they clearly loved her program as well.

Credit to Amber for continuing unbothered and pulling off a great show. But with the invalid Axel she is already ten points behind.

Better for that pop to happen here than the Olympics. I don't think this program comes alive until the step sequence. She performs well from that point on, but I couldn't help but notice she's probably last in speed and skating skills here.
