Mark is growing on me this season, as a skater. Whatever program he chooses, he makes it convincing.

I don't like his FP this season. Maybe we'll see some changes tomorrow, but previous skates were not convincing.

More like 15 to 17 years that made it the case. All senior women everywhere are back to what they were before 2019, interminably boring to some, great artistry to others.

Petr probably isn't winning tomorrow, especially with BOTH Mark and Zhenya 6 points ahead. They are both winners who can pull it off when it counts most, so you would expect 1 or 2 to be able to put in a big performance.

I loved that Semenenko program although Mark deserves the lead by several points. The GOE on Semenenko's jumps is a joke!

And Petr getting all 3's for a 3A with a huge hook on it and snow flying everywhere.

I feel a little bad for Roman getting a q on his 3A, the other two jump elements were close to ideal. Should only be a couple points behind Semenenko.

Russian judges have been quite strict this season, much harsher than the ISU, but worse than ever with their judging of their chosen ones. IMO they're only being more realistic in the judging of the rest of the skaters so they can more manipulate the results for the chosen ones with greater certainty.

I felt Beijings panels might not be fully representative of Milan -- but we don't know the composition yet. They might be like the ones in Beijing. Panels this year seem to produce differing results. It's been a year of volatility. But... gym!

I do agree with this. I think Mark was a clear first.

Today only Semenenko, Petr and Adeliia achieved lvl 4.

More than 2nd stage, where only Sadkova achieved lvl 4, across both men & women, SP & FS.

You just have to look at their skating scores and it's extremely clear that Petya is the only choice from Russia.
