2025-26 Russian Junior Grand Prix - Stage 2 - Magnitogorsk

I truly hate "suit costumes" on girls.
I actually like the costume, it was probably my favourite part of the program itself. Her glide and spins are incredible though, it was almost jarring the gap she left between everyone else. You sometimes forget how good the best actually are when watching the other girls.

World gymnastics AA, she has had horrible injuries for a couple of years, so nice to see. FIG allows Russians to compete AIN. Wish ISU would follow suit and allow as well.
The only reason AINs were at Worlds is because they didn't have to qualify for Worlds in the post-Olympic season through Euros, where they wouldn't have been allowed to compete (courtesy of European Gymnastics' own ban of Russian and Belarusian gymnasts).

Praise the FIG all you want, but they are even weaker than the ISU and can't even keep continental organisations in line, nor stick to their own rules (based on their statutes, Worlds should have been cancelled the moment Israeli gymnasts were not allowed to enter Indonesia, but considering that they keep hosting Olympic qualifying events in Azerbaijan, they clearly don't care about that rule. They will have fun at the CAS hearings.)

I could tell how nervous she was even before the music started, but it was still beautiful 😭

If the loop wasnt UR and the TES stays, I would give her first. I think all things considered, she is skating a different sport than anyone else here today.

I know Miroslava will probably drop after the FS, but she was charming. My favorite of the day.

Where did she lose TES other than the Lutz edge?
Spin levels? The sit spin only has a level 2 in the protocols, the combo spin a level 3. Team Tut used to be really good about maximising those levels, but they've been having some issues with that recently.

(Also, seems like judges and tech panels really took it to heart to start being stricter for everyone, including the top skaters. As long as it's the same standard across the competition, I think that's actually a decent development.)
