2025-26 US Women's Figure Skating

I'm getting worried for Alysa the last thing you want is boot problems or having to change programs during a Olympic year but she is dealing with both. 😟

I'm not. She's one of the grittiest competitors I've ever seen. I also just watched an interview she did, and she's not putting a ton of pressure on herself. She sees these Olympics as a side quest on her life journey. If it were anyone else, I'd probably worry, but not Alysa Liu.

Congrats to both American ladies on their SPs in China. Alysa's promise sp continues to shine as one of the best and shows how much she has matured since her junior days in her skating. Once Amber skates completely clean she will be close to 80, this Madonna program is probably one of my top 3 from this season. Her triple axel is her most steady jump by now.

I loved Alysa’s 3Lz 3Lo.
It was beautiful and she deserved her first place. To me, the lutz loop combo is an ultra-c element and should be worth more points 👏

What is interesting is that the last two Olympic champions were the only ones with the lutz loop combo. I wonder if the streak will continue 😜 . If Alysa brings back her 3A, she can do both toe and loop combos to separate herself further from the pack in the free skate. This season is shaping up to me interesting.

Congrats to Amber and Alysa on the 1-2! Both had great FS and were such a class of their own today. I love the Donna Summer program on Alysa, and Amber's FS looks even better than last year, I think the costume is an upgrade. This wasn't even both girls at their best so their scoring potential is even higher.

I love this group of American ladies~

Tallinn Trophy and Warsaw Cup entries are out for the Challenger series.

For Tallinn its Starr, Alina, and Sarah. Really nice group they are sending. I like seeing Alina get more international assignments, she is such a performer. For juniors its Sofia Bezkorovainaya, Emilia Nemirovsky, and Sophie Joline von Felton, which is some of the strongest junior skaters for USA. I briefly looked at the other countries entries and it could very well be a sweep for them or at least top 5. I don't think this has a stream. :frown:

Warsaw Cup has Isabeau competing. Looks like she could win here which would be great for her resume toward the Olympics. I think Warsaw streams so it would be nice to see her programs again this season.

Happy Halloween to all! Congrats to all the USA ladies on great SPs. Isabeau's program has grown so nicely and I love love love her outfit. Very smart for Bradie to change her SP to Lana, it fits her well. Sarah seems to absolutely love her Reel in the Sun program and I'm happy shes finally giving more performance and face during the skate, I think with cleaner elements during the season she should score in the 70's.

Impressed with Isabeau’s attack in her SP at Skate Canada; she looked very determined and really seemed to enjoy skating it.. well done!
Sarah is really talented; really look forward to her skating.

Congrats once more on a wonderful FS and a silver medal for Isabeau. She has proven herself again and again and I hope people finally stop doubting her. At this point I don't know how people can't see the Olympic team will most likely be Isabeau, Amber, and Alysa.

My girl Bradie did so well, to have back to back major injuries and have so much determination to come back and retire on her own terms shows her strength. I've said before but I want her to win 4CC to end on a high note. (Or go to worlds if an Olympian skips it).

Sarah... I like the concept of a poor things program. I'm not sure if it fully works on her, I do think she was underscored in the SP, I'm not sure I think that in the free. I like that she tried something different this year at the least and I hope she sticks around because I do feel like next season could be hers to lead.

Is this Bradie’s last season?

At NHK Trophy, Sarah had good skates and beat her total from Canada by 12 points, the more I see it the more Poor Things is starting to work. Elyce had a better SP but had a drop from France in FS and total score. I think her getting those monstrous scores last season in the Challengers really messed with her and the pressure people put on her. Something is not clicking with the skating anymore and I'm worried she is going to give up after this season. I believe Isabeau will withdraw from Warsaw Cup so Elyce would be the sub, she just needs to get consistent, please that Gladitor FS would hit so well at Nationals if its clean.

Next week we will have Alysa, Starr, and Josephine at Skate America. I'm really curious about Josephine in particular (because I know Starr will put on a show regardless of jumps and Alysa is Alysa), I don't want her to just be a good domestic skater, I want her to excel in international competitions as well. Good luck to them all!

Congrats to Starr on the short program of the event for me! Alysa was great as usual, shes so solid. Good job on Josephine on her senior debut. Good luck to them all tomorrow in the free.
