2025 Four Continents Women's Free Skate

Based on what I've seen here and at Road to 26 competition, if I was USFS I'd send to Worlds either Sarah or Bradie in lieu of Isabeau. Isabeau did not look like she will be in full competitive shape by Worlds, her lutz is worse, and the judges don't seem to be holding her up on PCS.
That’s not the way the US system works.

Has USFS given the final confirmation that Isabeau is going to Worlds? I know they gave the assignment to her with a conditional asterisk, has it been confirmed now after her performance in Road to 26?

Actually, it does. Isabeau's assignment to Worlds is conditional, based on competition readiness. It is not guaranteed and USFS always leaves themselves an escape hatch they can activate. But this is a discussion better continued on the general US ladies thread.

apparently Maddie had stomach flu... Lia was also very sick earlier on...

Gosh... I hope Max is okay because he's been sick for so long this fall...
OMG!! I did wonder when I heard Lia was sick, whether or not this would impact the other Canadian athletes.

So glad Max/Deanna and Paul/Piper are sick after their great performances. They can rest as there is plenty of time to prepare for Worlds.

Seems flu or some bug is hitting a number of the skaters: Deanna, Max (from Canada); Kazuki from Japan; Mone Chiba from Japan….
4CC's is wiping out the top skaters...Piper/Paul; Deanna/Max; Maddie; Chiba, Kazuki, and her my big beef was that pathetic kiss and cry area where who ever decorated it was out to lunch or had no training to consider how it looked on tv.

THe American ladies are looking strong 2,3 4 and Isabeau was second at the Road to 26 and I am guessing will get to go to worlds. I guess you have to respect her as she is the world silver medallist although quite frankly Bradie or Sarah would be fine going in her place. The way things have gone she would not be missed score wise.

The US ladies were solid if not not unspectacular. Just well done skating with solid content and not big errors. Kim has really set herself up as the challenger for the world title if not favourite. Even without some of the top Japanese skaters here it looks like the US ladies, Korea and Japan are ahead of the current Euro crop. Remember Europe has lost this year some top skaters especially Lorena. These other ladies are so inconsistent and appear to be a step down from the very best skaters.

I'm curious why Kaori Sakamoto hasn't done 4CC since 2020 considering she's been the dominate Japanese lady for the last 5 season.

Because 4CC is often consolation prize while the top skaters get ready for WC. Its often weaker than a regular GP event.
