2025 Nikolai Panin-Kolomenkin Memorial

Her jumps are huge and she's in great form (though when skaters are in too good of a form this early, I feel a little uneasy about if they'll be able to keep that up throughout the rest of the season :/). Still hate the packaging she's been given this season, though.

Gushchina is giga-consistent, I'm not worried about her losing form.

And actually, I am getting used to this FS, its not bad. The SP is the biggest problem to me. In any case, she is definitely capable of much more than this sort of programming.

As I said yesterday, the panels in singles are absolutely unexperienced. Though I enjoyed men's judging.

Maria's 3As are amazing and becoming really consistent. The other triples, not so much, at least not here :| Her PCS do feel quite Junior-ish, though, which does make sense. That kind of works better for her Free, but in the Short it felt very noticeable.

The spins judging is weird but skaters' choices about them are weird too.

Elisova was doing a flying camel but for some reason changed to the layback. The tech panel counted it as a combo and it got invalidated.

It's interesting how you can start developing an eye for mistakes before they happen. Some skaters are able to save impossible jumps, but that's rarer.

It's early in the season, and it is a big jump from Juniors to Seniors mentally, so Alisa shouldn't be too hard on herself here.
