Vlad under-rotated his first jump too . but sure, he did stay on his feet unlike the others.

He was magnificent! Totally wuzrobbed. When that Looney Toons music started playing while he just hung out with the judges for 10 seconds or so at the beginning of his long program, he stole my heart.

Could he change it out? It's still possible. I recall at least one skater who changed their music just for the Olympics, then switched back to the music he was previously using for Worlds (Matteo Rizzo). Would he change it out? Probably not, because one of the singers is a famous Kazakh singer named Dimash and I think there is some national pride at play here. For some reason I am perfectly fine with how unusual his music choices are.

Dimash has some lovely songs on youtube, this is a show piece (designed in the film as unsingable) and I think could be replaced.

I thought Vlads's music was awful - especially when that woman started caterwauling. I will give him credit for trying to do something different though. At least it wasn't Roxanne or something of that ilk. Was very happy for Kevin Aymoz. If he does nothing else in his career at least he has this win under his belt.

Did I say that? I said I couldn't enjoy it and it made me feel grubby. I suspect that most people in the US don't actually know about the crimes he committed, it was a British pedophile and against third world children. But anyone choosing to commission the music - including the sports organisation in your clip - could hardly not know across the information as soon as they looked up his name.
