Such a pity about the fall. I needed Mone CHIBA (JPN) to go clean and take the lead to have any chance of saving my predictions.

Amber is a wonderful person and skater, but her PCS aren't at the same level as her technical skills.

Kaori definitely deserves higher scores in skating skills & composition and Alysa in presentation, though we all know judges don't often make the distinction between different PCS categories.

Hmm, I agree with your statements about Kaori; she should easily beat this field in PCS. As far as Alysa, I think her scores come from her amazing consistency, not because she has terrific presentation. There is nothing outstanding about Liu’s programs or choreography. She basically has no transitions in her programs and the composition of her FS is laughable, but she is such a calm competitor and enjoyable skater to watch. She really puts you at ease with her reliability and that’s why the judges really reward her in scoring. What really surprises me about Alysa is how the judges have turned a blind eye to some of her jump rotations since Boston Worlds. I wonder when that is going to catch up to her.

Just popping in to say that that was the most I have enjoyed Mone or Anastasia this year. Best performances PCS wise from them this year. Best technical performance from Amber this year. Nice to see!

Wow, Gubanova is a completely different skater here from how she competed in Boston. What a vindication for her to comeback with 2 great skates here at WTT!

Great flow from start to end.

Nastya seems to have overcome her low. I hope she has a stellar olympic season.

I think that was Gubanova’s best skate of the season. She kept the energy and intensity throughout the entire skate when she usually loses a lot of steam in the second half. All she needs to do now is repeat these performances in China.

That was solid from Nastya, though she didn't perform at all until all the jumps were done.

I hope she can pull of this version of Nastya during the Olys qualifier in Beijing!
