Incidentally, Anastasiia METELKINA / Luka BERULAVA (GEO) scored 75.96 in the SP at Europeans.

Katie is such a perfectionist - if she makes the slightest error it seems to stay with her and she can't let it go and starts to make more mistakes. Today she missed a feature in the twist and finished a bit behind Daniil rushing into the sbs throwing her off for that element as well. Sigh - I love you two, but you need to settle down.

Awww, now that was great! Clean run with good flow and the throws were real lookers.

Another incredible skate from YunaSumi. They have improved so much over the past year, this skate was honestly strong enough to be up there with Sui/Han and they were in 7th place here last year. The last time I was this excited and impressed by a pairs team and their improvements, it was Riku & Ryuichi in 2022 and they went on to become World Champions.

Great skate! Shame about little issue at the spin from Sumi but it was very, very solid. Their elements got so much better, especially throws and twist.

Wohooo they landed their SBS 3Lo and throw 3S (it was huge!!!)

Almost perfect other than Sumitada almost losing the camel position on the spin Hope still enough for a new SB!

That SBS triple rittberger of Nagaoki/Moriguchi was chef's kiss. I think we rarely see this element in Pairs because it's hard to time it properly. They skate too far from each other IMHO but I love watching them, they make it look effortless

Yuna NAGAOKA / Sumitada MORIGUCHI (JPN) skating to a cover of Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road".

Yuna is wearing a black, orange and yellow dress. (I guess the yellow at the end of the skirt part is representing the yellow brick road). Sumitada is wearing an orange top and black trousers.

That was good. I enjoyed that.

They go into 2nd position.

And they are delighted!
