2026 Olympics: Rhythm Dance

Just to remind everyone watching in the USA, the first part of the Rhythm Dance is on the USA channel at 2:00 p.m.EST The second part is on the NBC Channel at 2:40 p.m. EST. If you want to record the event, this is the easiest way to do it.

Peacock coverage starts at 1:20 p.m. EST with both a "Rhythm Dance" stream and a "Rhythm dance venue feed" stream. There is something called a "Rhythm Dance warm-up" at 11:20 a.m. EST I have no idea if that is a preview or a practice session .

Probably just Americans ignoring 'things that do not matter to us'

Here's a link to the schedule on the Olympics site. https://www.olympics.com/en/milano-cortina-2026/schedule -- this has ice dancing at 1:20 EST. Right now, curling is on the USA channel. USA will switch to the rhythm dance at 1:45 PM EST. After the first couple of groups, rhythm dance will switch to NBC - at 2:45 PM. What they did with speed skating when it switched to NBC was to show the early round that had the fastest skater, who ended up coming in fourth in the 1000 meter race. So they might repeat someone who did really well in the USA section when they start the NBC section. This probably won't matter to anyone who has Peacock, but I don't so keep track of it.

Just when I saw TNT Sports / Eurosport showing Speed Skating highlights, I suppose it was all over the news in Italy about Gina Lollobrigida's great niece winning the 3,000m race. Like, it's a big enough achievement to do it in your home country on your birthday, but to do it carrying the extra weight of that surname.

After Italy’s bronze yesterday, so much adrenaline is finally gone. It almost feels unreal but in a good way
Today I can just sit back and truly enjoy ice dance (and I’m really hoping Piper & Paul make the podium)

While we wait for the RD to start, I want to express how dearly I miss my favorite French team who are not here, the lovely Loïcia Demougeot and the handsome Théo le Mercier. To echo their Instagram posts, where is their series, Netflix? I would certainly watch it with lots of excitement. I can not wait to cheer them on in their future events and I look forward to the day when this talented team finally gets their dues and rewards.

The warm up is a practice session without music. At least that’s what it’s been for every skating event I’ve ever been to.

Same, this has been a season where I don’t know why I put myself through the stress of watching this discipline. I am a glutton for punishment and disappointment I suppose.

Flowers wilt and die just like all glory. And that is fine. They biodegrade. Some skaters do keep some toys but divest themselves of them over the years except for a very few. Ask MK how many plastic toys she kept. But pics with her holding flowers? They are still out there. This olys is being touted on NBC as eco friendly. They are using old venues spread out over many hours of mountain road driving, and mass transit takes even longer...who wants a plastic toy after receiving a precious gold medal?

Pics with the skaters holding the Olympic stuffies will be out there forever. Most of the athletes have loved them. One can get flowers anywhere. Official Olympic stuffies not so much.
