Dave Lease was completely cancelled for one comment he made about young skaters in the memorial tribute. Johnny Weir, on the other hand, makes a career and good money out of being cruel towards hard working skaters and saying much worse things than what Dave did many times over and no one with any power checks him on it.

NBC pays him to be a "personality" and he earns his money in that regard. He's not a good commentator, but that's not his true role here.

Goku's skating skills are sooooo good, he's one of the best pure skaters in this event and this program is so unique and engaging. It's great to see him nail his jumps as well, and getting rewarded in the GOE for his quality.
