Another bronze for our friend Steve.

He has really captured the hearts of the "general" American public (such as me ). I saw an advertisement today for the gymnastics version of Stars on Ice. They of course emphasized Simone Biles, but right after that "Steve Nedoroscik Pommel Horse Guy".

I'm currently dying right now (my fencing crush is one match away from his long due individual gold medal) but I need a place to write one of my manifestations, which is RHYS MCCLENAGHAN POMMEL HORSE GOLD MEDALIST PLEASE

Edit: My fencing crush delivered (sob) and now all I need are medals for my beloved gymnasts, Rhys's had better be gold but others I can live with less

This actually happened and I am sobbing, both my fencing crush and Rhys were gold contenders in Tokyo and suffered great disappointment and they got their deserved glory in Paris aaaaahhhhh

Pommel horse was actually so exciting to watch! People hit for the most part. I am happiest for Rhys and Stephen!!! First Olympic gymnastics medal for Ireland and also first medal for Kazakhstan - yay! I still am in happy disbelief that Stephen actually went 3 for 3 at the Olympics. Given his previous international hit percentage, it's a minor miracle! And he had to score more than he scored in quals, and he did, to get on the podium.

Carlos Yulo - FINALLY an Olympic medal and it's gold, only the 2nd Olympic medal ever for the Philippines, I think.

Simone, Rebeca, Jade - dream WAG vault podium, and for Jade it was such sweet redemption.

It was an enjoyable first day of EF for me.
