I don't have much time to read and post, but I have to pop in to say BIG THANKYOU to moose for keeping us updated on Plushy and his angels! Wish you all the best!
Awww thank you! I enjoy keeping up with Plushy and the Angels, I'm glad others like reading my posts.I don't have much time to read and post, but I have to pop in to say BIG THANKYOU to moose for keeping us updated on Plushy and his angels! Wish you all the best!
Aww thanks Plushyfan! I learnt from the best aka youIt's great! Thank you anonymoose_au
Intriguing! I wonder if this is recent as last I heard I think the doctors told Plushy not to try 3As anymore. Or maybe it was quads? Or both! Last time he tried them in a jump off he hurt his neck (I'm not sure how that works? Physics is a cruel master), so I hope he's keeping safe. And here is Plushy, just casually jumping the 3A as if he'd never retired.
I can just imagine Plushy saying that.As for the doctors telling him not to, I'm sure Plushy thought that meant he mustn't do it for a limited time period. "What? I thought they only meant over the weekend or something... "
Is he? NGL Senior Nats makes me nervous...the stakes always seem so high! And Kirill doesn't have a consistent quad yet...As for senior Nationals - don't forget Kirill. He's also qualified for it.
I feel like Nikita S would suit! I can just picture him in a Mad Hatter inspired costumeSome musical accompaniment:
Which Angel would this suit?
Oh yeah, good point... Now I guess I can be nervous for Junior Nats insteadI doo't know about pressure. Nobody will be paying much attention to Kirill - he's not senior age eligible internationally, so there are no spots on the line or anything.
I applaud and approve of this choice!Watching Plushy exude major attitude on a Sunday
maybe it will be interesting for you: an article about Plushenko, published in January 2002, a few weeks before the start of the Olympics, in the most popular Russian newspaper (Komsomolskaya Pravda) of those years:I remain annoyed at myself for not remembering watching this at all even though I know I watched the skating during the 2002 Games on TV here in Aussieland, I distinctly remember watching the pairs and ladies, it's possible I didn't watch the men. For shame, young Moose, for shame!
Evgeni Plushenko bets on Michael Jackson
The famous Russian figure skater talks about his Olympic plans, fans and hobbies
Sex symbol in swimming trunks "Komsomolskaya Pravda" regularly receives a lot of readers' letters with declarations of love to sports stars, but the number of messages dedicated to figure skater Evgeni Plushenko, frankly, exceeds all reasonable limits. In this sense, only another handsome bachelor, Pavel Bure, can compete with him. Here is what, for example, 14-year-old Lena from Kaluga writes: “I really like Evgeni Plushenko, I am his big fan. I would like to know how old Eugene is, what he does in his free time, whether Zhenya is married and how he treats his fans. " And Oksana from Tver dedicated the following heartfelt poem to her idol: [text of poem lost]
Who, Oksana, would dare to sin against the truth? Plushenko performed brilliantly in 2001, became the world and European champion, and generally won all the tournaments in which he participated, with the exception of the December Grand Prix final: then Zhenya was outstripped by his eternal rival Alexei Yagudin. And when asked about his fans, Zhenya, without embarrassment, replies: "I want them to be even more!" Many experts say that this smiling blond has not only great talent, but also the psychology of a real champion. But Plushenko's star fever does not seem to threaten. He is always open to communication and has a great sense of humor. “Recently, a funny incident happened to me,” says the skater. - I came to the SKA Sports Palace and asked for size 41 skates. And they give me 44th. "How so? - I ask. "I asked for the 41st." “There’s no 41! - they answer. - Ride on these! "
In general, I often go to skating rinks with my friends and am always ready to ride with some pretty girl. Girls, do you understand? You have a chance to get to know the sex symbol of the world figure skating better! Eugene took this title from the Frenchman Philippe Candeloro, who loved to undress to the waist and kiss the spectators sitting in the front rows. But in comparison with what Zhenya did not so long ago, this is nothing more than an innocent joke.
Eugene, under the enthusiastic roar of the audience, simply arranged a natural striptease on the ice, remaining in the end in only golden swimming trunks and fake biceps.
Yagushchenko will win the Olympics Plushenko's main trump card on the ice is the most difficult elements, which he usually performs first in the world. Not long ago, during the Russian Cup Grand Prix, Zhenya swung at the most difficult jump in figure skating - the 4-turn lutz. In the end, only a little was missing: the athlete seemed to have successfully landed on the ice, but at the very last moment he fell.
“And yet I am pleased that I decided on this element,” Plushenko says. A reasonable question arises: maybe with such a pace the skater will soon reach a jump of five turns? - In principle, this is possible, but not yet soon, - says Alexei Mishin. - We have not athletics, where high jumpers can add one centimeter to the world record every year. In figure skating, every extra turn is a real revolution. Thirty years passed from the first triple jumps to the first quadruple jumps. In this Olympic year, Plushenko is associated with the hopes of millions of Russian fans at the upcoming Games in Salt Lake City.
Objectively speaking, only another Russian - Alexei Yagudin - can compete with him in the fight for the "gold". There is even an anecdote on Internet sites: - Who will win the Olympics? - Yagushchenko! There, on the Internet, Yagudin’s fans threaten to steal the skates from Ivy (Plushenko, Ivy on Russian is “Плющ”). As a joke, of course. But seriously, for us, the Russians, it is not so important which of these two will eventually become the champion - as long as our anthem is played during the awards ceremony. So far, one thing is clear: the rivalry between Alexey and Eugene on the Salt Lake City ice will be bright and exciting. Yagudin relies on the program to the music from the movie "The Man in the Iron Mask", and Plushenko - on the expressive dance a la Michael Jackson. Let's see who will be more convincing in the end.
They did I don't get what happened...I know a large group of his fans were deeply upset about the Eurovision thing (your guess is as good as mine as to why, I thought that was awesome when I found out about it!) and turned their fan board into a hate board (I wonder if some of the fans quoted in that story are among them...)as you can see, in the old days, journalists loved him.
