I hope this camera will work!! But as you know Plushy will skate such programs what he can with Edvin's violin playing...Storm, Tosca, Best of Plushenko, or Tango... I have seen them thousands times.. :scowl: But of course, the audience isn't such fanatic as me, doesn't follow Plushy's every skate, they will like any program..

Oh, so probably no Grigory Leps exhibition? That was my only hope of avoiding Storm. :laugh: At this point, Tango sounds pretty good. :p
 
A couple months(?) ago Plushy said he was working on two new exhibitions...one was supposed to be from a movie soundtrack and I thought he said the other one was comedic. Did I dream it? Now that the Snow King is finished for awhile, maybe he has time to work on them? Perhaps when he goes back to Japan we'll see something new.

At this point I really wonder how many dresses Yana has?? She couldn't own them all could she? It would be such a waste especially when she only wears each dress once!!!

I do remember that one :) And the video of them play-fighting in Prague(?) - that's my favorite one. :laugh:

Somewhere I watched a video where Yana was giving a tour of her closet, but I forget where I saw it and I hardly understood a word anyway...but she has loads of clothes for sure (and probably gets dresses on loan for special events, besides that).

Since Tomas Verner left the competitions he is busier than ever. He performed at several exhibitions including the Russian show “Snow King” with Evgeni Plushenko in the lead.

“This kind of show format would not normally be my thing, but it is not usual exhibition as it is fairy tale on ice (based on Andersen’s “Snow white”).” he says. ” I have never seen something like that done so nicely and with such an attention to detail. “

“We are planning to go internationally with it but the future will tell us. There are some political elements to it that I would not want to comment on. If the show goes abroad, I would be joining the whole tour for sure.”

Working on professional events with famous skaters was a reward for an entertaining skating star as Tomas truly is. He especially enjoyed working with Russian star Evgeni Plushenko.

“I have never competed with him (Plushenko) for the gold medals, so it didn’t hurt our relationship. He does not see anyone as a competitor, or as better than himself. He is really friendly to everyone. Media were presenting him as overconfident sometimes, but he is just confident, not arrogant. I like working with him”.

Tomas's statement is a little odd, considering he did compete against Plushenko, several times. Maybe he could never have beaten him, but you still have to have the confidence to believe you are worthy of a medal, or what's the point of competing at all. Well, I guess it doesn't matter now.

I believe Tomas thought if Plush competed Tomas had no chance to win the gold... so he has never competed with Plushenko for the gold medals.

Wasn't it when Miyu Honda toured Plushy's Moscow house, and he showed her the closet, which was 80% Yana?

I think it's because Tomas only peaked after Plushy went into his first retirement (2006-2010). Then when Plushy came back in 2010, Tomas was sadly on the decline results-wise, so he couldn't really fight for, say, the 2012 European title. Tomas did have the goods right until the end (his 2014 Worlds SP was wonderful!), it just didn't click for him... :no:

Anyway, we know that Plushy isn't against working with people who did fight him for gold medals. See: Brian Joubert. :)
 
Yes, agreed re Brian - so Plushy hasn't really a problem working with people he's competed against. And Brian's having beaten him is one of the things Plushy praises him for.:)

As for Tomas.... well, if "confidence" had been one of Tomas' chief characteristics, I suspect his career would have been vastly different.... (sighs sadly)

Yes, that was kind of what I was trying to say. If nobody thought they could beat Plushenko, then why not just hand him the medal and skip the skating? Ah well...you'll always be one of my favorite headcases, Tomas.
