The sound seems to be out of sync...? It was good live, though. But then I haven't seen a million versions of this particular performance.

I imagine neither did most of the audience. Evgeni was received with huge applause. He IS very charismatic live, no doubt about it. Stephane Lambiel also was very loved, almost as much as Plush. The pair with acrobatic lifts was impressive and the comedic/acrobatic duo were tears-in-my-eyes funny and both conquered the hearts of the audience. Personally I was disappointed with Irina Slutskaya who came across as boring to me, and with Misha Ge who danced too much and skated to little for my taste. All in all it was a good and most people stuck to the very end, clapping and waving.
The main thing that I kept thinking, though? Those programs were all too short! Most of them could be twice as long before I would get bored of them!
Well, the other main impression was that the announcers were running for an Olympic gold in exaggeration, their "OMG this-and-this is SO MAGNIFICENT!!!1!!! the best EVAH!1!!" was beyond the realm of ridiculous, not to mention the mnumber of times they hammered about the "300 years-old Stradivarius" lol. BTW does Edvin Marton play live? Because I couldn't see any microphones whatsover around him.
