I'd like to chime in with thanks for your reports - it's so great hearing from someone who was there in person; it's almost like experiencing it oneself vicariously. So thanks again for your vivid accounts - and I'm so glad you had a good time. :)

I read many times about the Polish people russophobe attitude...because of Khatiny and some other reasons.. But you know more better than me..

That was the main reason just a few years ago but the anti-Russian attitudes weren't as prevalent as today; the current political climate has eclipsed all of that. Eh, not a happy subject to talk about anyway.

at last about politics.. I really believe not all black and white .....

so I don't know what is the truth about the Polish -Russian relationships...

but I add here this quote which exemplifies the historical friendship between our two nations:

Unfortunately he's far from the only one stuck on that narrative...I just scroll right on by when I see such ridiculous comments. It's the only way I can preserve my mental health. ;)

Maybe I was misunderstood.. Tomas Verner told that story, he asked Plushy and he gave him some advices about the jumps technic..

Oh no, I understood you meant CSG. Tomas is much too nice of a man to speak badly of other skaters. ;)

Storm is Storm, but it's okay. Je Suis Malade, on the other hand... Before watching: "Yes, better this than Best of Plushenko!" After watching: "Y'know, he didn't seem like he was in the mood... Maybe Best of Plushenko would've been better." :slink: :laugh: But if Snow King can come to Canada, nothing else matters...

Misha in the opening. :love: He looked like he was somehow channelling Plushy and Jeffrey Buttle in one go. But I guess he went and did his "stand and dance" mesh shirt exhibition for his solo number...

Yeah, I'm mildly pleased about this... ;)

I don't mind if it is Storm, really... Though I'd be much happier if it was something new, obviously - but if he is holidaying in the Seychelles, he prbably isn't training a new program... (I know - eat your heart out, Sherlock!;)) But anyway.... My hunch? I think it will be Best of Plushenko...
