Hello fellow Plushy fans, hope you're all well.

I'm a bit concerned at the moment to be honest, the Coaching Cauldron thread has sprung to life again with an article about Plushy. I haven't read it, because it's probably the same old stuff, but from comments it's definitely not complimentary.

Also Rina Ryabova has left the Academy, citing dissatisfaction with the training conditions, which is kind of...not helpful because I'm not even sure what that means. Like was their personality conflicts? Was it the move? Or are the coaches doing a bad job? Because, one of those is seriously bad news, while the other two not so much.

Then there was Artem K posting a photo with Yagudin of all people. Not that Artem can't hang with who he wants, but it seems seriously weird that someone connected with the Academy would do this - particularly after the nasty comments Yagudin made about not just Plushy but the Academy itself! Is Alexander Volkov's group leaving?

Then there's the speculation of the podium at Nationals, a lot of people seem to think Alena and Sasha T aren't going to get on the podium. If they don't you know who'll get all the blame for it.

And finally Yulia L joined the Academy! Fabulous news you'd think, but all the reactions I've seen so far are negative and once again it seems no-one would go to the Academy because they think it's promising or maybe want to work with Plushy, obviously they must have lost their minds or are getting paid off or something. Sigh.

Plushy's skaters have moved to the new rink while Volkov's group is still working at the old one mainly because of the Pandemic. I think there are too many skaters at the academy for them to handle properly. Yulia's joining at this time might alleviate their pressure, but I don't know whether it is a good idea taking many things into consideration. To be frank, Volkov's team should go their own way for the benefit of Plushy's academy, since most skaters are coming for Plushy's big name, not for someone else. They are only taking advantage of Plushy's technical and financial support. That's all.

As for Trusova and Kostornaya's Nationals prospects, they can only be decided by their own on-site performances that day. Still, it will be a much bigger challenge for Alena.

TBH I'm not to worried about Aliona because I feel like she won't be blamed. Thinking on it though I feel like Sasha T will be blamed (along with Plushy) in a big old schedfraude spectacle where people will be posting pseudo-sympathetic stuff while grinning in glee about how both she and Plushy crashed and burned and don't they both deserve it for being insufferable.

Aliona on the other hand has the benefit of her skating skills and artistry to save her, along with the fact that as far as detractors are concerned she's only at the Academy because Sergei R is there (because she's not dumb enough to actually believe Plushy is an actual coach or anything).

As a big fan of Plushy and Sasha I'm so not looking forward to the pile-on that will happen if Sasha so much as stumbles.

Volkov's group leaving would be a total disaster, he's the one with the most experience, if he goes then it'll just be "amateurs" and I shudder to think how much fun the detractors will have with that.

In other news I'm having a bad day, the place where I live is in the midst of a COVID-19 outbreak, which has been caused by a really, really, really stupid Government policy. So now we're in lockdown and Christmas is looking very un-jolly

My mood has been all over the place what with the increase in cases here where I live and the fact we've been told to lockdown!

I got a COVID-19 swab today, as did my father, he had his result back - negative, yay! - I'm still waiting. They're pretty speedy though, so I'm sure it'll come soon.

Hello fellow Plushy fans!

Well the Nationals are fast approaching and I'm not sure what to think. Like I'm not going to be able to watch the ladies live, but I'm wondering if I should? Aliona and Valeria Shulskaya have had to withdraw now and it looks like Liza Tuk and Anna S are rushing back too. So like...should I even be supporting this thing? I don't know.

In other news Russia's Olympic website interviewed Plushy I was a bit hesitant to read it because it was posted in the Coaching Cauldron, but it's a good read Plushy is determined to make it as a coach and put together a great team. I should remember this as a fan and believe. My favourite part was when he mentioned having trouble remembering everyone's names, I hear you, Plushy!

Well, Russian Nationals have begun and the Ladies SP is tonight. I wonder if Plushy has arrived? I'm a bit worried he hasn't although tbh... It's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. If he doesn't come and Sasha does well, it'll be used as proof that Plushy's a fake coach, if he does come and Sasha does well it'll be no thanks to him and he's still a fake coach. And no matter if he's there or not if she does poorly or misses the podium he'll be a - you guessed it - fake coach and career ruiner as well. Sigh

I watched Plushy's reaction to the jury's notes and considered her justified. I saw that he was criticized by many. He is a powerful personality in this sport and I think he has every right in the world to express his opinion. Bravo Plushy!

Hello fellow Plushy fans!

Well, I didn't stay up to watch because I was too sleepy and I knew I'd get over emotional if things went badly.

I just watched Sasha T now, although not with Ted's commentary so I'm not sure what he said. She did really well! (Haven't seen the final scores though).

But...I'm hesitant to go to any other thread...I'm oversensitive but I feel like it's going to be bad... I mean the encouraging of applause at the end (although Mishin used to do it) is enough to make the detractors lose their minds...the at the score? Justified or not they're going to crucify him!

More importantly, what does Sasha think?! If she's embarassed or angry about it it could be really bad news for the coach-student relationship.

Also how am I meant to go on Twitter and Insta now? I follow lots of skating fans and I don't think they'll be on Plushy's side.

Perhaps this is why they say don't be a fan of coaches!

I'm stunned, seriously. I was truly expecting to hear of a petition to throw Plushy out of figure skating altogether!
