I've lost count of how many times I've watched the clips from the news. Their jumps are better synchronized than a lot of actual pair skaters! I really do think Yuzu could have a future in pairs skating after he wins his 2nd singles medal in Pyeonchang.

Hopefully we'll get some more reports after the shows today. Also, Plushy & family will be on the cover of next week's Hello! Russia and I just read that he's going to play in a celebrity golf tournament in China in October (with the likes of Morgan Freeman, Nicole Kidman and...Kenny G Very random group...)

Yes, he will compete at the golf tournament in China. This confirms my view that he will not compete this year. I find it hard to imagine that he spends his time with something like this when preparing to the skating competitions.

I've watched the subbed Miyu documentary, it was done really well by sherringford-bm on Tumblr, there's also a download there too, in case YouTube takes it down.

I gotta say Japanese TV is so weird! What's with all the writing in the screen and the little box showing the studio up in the corner. But yeah, it's epic, Plushy would make an excellent coach!

(And hello! This is my first comment here, I've just got into ice skating and Plushy, although I remember admiring him in 2006 and 2010 at the Olympics)

That picture is so precious. Yes, Plushenko will do Artistry on Ice in China in July. After Sendai I think he goes straight to Italy for the Mishin camp.

Welcome anonymoose_au - I agree with you about Japanese tv - it seems like it's always so hyper with bright colors and cartoon graphics, etc. Even the news! I suppose they probably think American tv is strange, though.

Welcome! Your name sounds familiar... you made the Plushy dolls, right? (I'm a weirdo creeping lurking person )

Japanese people probably think English-language TV is weird. "What's with the bland text? How do they get viewers while being so boring?!"

(I only became a diehard fan later on in Plushy's career, though I remember him from at least Salt Lake. Maybe even earlier but little kid me forgot ).

Now back to watching videos. Still haven't seen the show performances and translated documentary yet.
