Random observation/question: While there seems to be some kind of consensus about Plushy's best LP (most going with Tribute to Nijinsky, and a few stray votes for St. Petersburg 300), it seems like no one can agree on his best SP? I mean: Plushyfan - Tango and Flamenco, Gallavich - Adagio, Me - Moonlight Sonata. What would be considered his best/most iconic SP in general terms? :think: Tosca?

Yes. Plushy won the OG with it. Many people became his fans during Torino, I read that the Olympic Gala had 300-400 millions viewers in the world. Edvin Marton won the Emmy Awards with Tosca Fantasy. Plush skated it many times.

I also love the Moonlight Sonata Sp especially the GPF version.

Yeah, Tosca would probably be the most well-known SP among non-fans. It's just interesting to note that I don't think I've ever met a Plushy fan who named Tosca their favourite.

I actually think Tosca works better as an EX than an SP.
 
I liked the Michael Jackson Medley. And also Concierto de Aranjuez. And Storm. I think the late part of his career his SPs were better than his LPs.

hm....maybe you are right....but i liked the LP in 2012. The Tango Amor is also better as an EX number than an LP the audience go crazy for it. for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zO1DO2h6130 he was really fat here :laugh: He did a very brave move again :o:... this is what you said Sandpiper. and this is Plushy's thread so I can say without debate : in 2010 he was the real Olympic champion in Europe . In many countrie's commentators, experts, coaches, old skaters had this opinion. And yes, I remember on the internet, on the Youtube he won. :yes:

In Golde Skate Awards 2010 was some really unpleasant moments. Plu and Evan were there. The audience celebrated Evgeni so much, but Evan received only a simply polite clap. Many spectators reported this. And Evan didn't receive toys just a man who sat in the VIP section threw him one plush. That was a ladybug. Everybody knew that was Lambiel's plush, but the owner was not able to throw it for Lambiel to the ice and the toy fell in the VIP section. I was happy because of this story in that moment. But I'm ashamed of myself now, :scowl: because I already know Evan is a really nice guy.

Oh, yes, I remember that interview! It was a really good one. They didn't show the entirety on TV - but it was uploaded on SVT Play. As I don't really watch the sports news program it was included in, I came across it by the merest chance at first - I mean, I happened to have it on, and went... but... wait a minute... that''s Plushy!?!!!! They also had a lengthy video of driving around in Plushy's car - also uploaded on SVT Play - as he showed them St Petersburg, and picked up Yana en route &c. I remember how the journalists especially remarked - in that video - how they felt with Plushy, unlike other famous people they'd met (I don't recall the term they used, so I hesitate to say "celebreties" - it could have been "stars"?), they felt so relaxed as if they were spending time with a friend... Sadly, the video has since expired, and has been taken down from the site.

Plushy seems to do a lot of interviews in the car. :laugh: I never saw this Swedish one - thank you for the link!

edit - I watched the whole interview last night and wow, it's fantastic! I don't think I've ever heard him speaking English for such an extended period, and his English is like catnip to my ears...:o: I love it when he is so relaxed and just talking about everyday things as with a friend - not under stress like in his Olympics interviews. It was cute when he said he wants to be like David Beckham because he is into fashion. :) But Plushy...please wear a seatbelt at all times! Russian drivers are crazy! :eek:
