TERRIFIC DEBUT
I expected the worst after everything that happened last month (I mean, he even closed his IG comments for a while) but he did GREAT
Tbh, he was even slower than usual but didn't miss any levels in both programs (the second time after Sochi).
The professor fixed his 4S! I was surprised reading practice notes because there weren't any double sals, even though he tends to pop this jump in both practice and competition. He started using a different entry, and I think it helped (honestly, I really like this kind of entries, didn't expect this from someone from Russia especially from Zhenya). The Axels were great too. His best Axels this season.
Unfortunately, Mishin said in interview that Zhenya had a back problems. But I hope it's nothing serious because, Zhenya was laughing when he talked about it.
He has improved his WS rank. Should be first among Russian men at the end of this season/beginning of the next.
And, I guess, good luck at Worlds?
