Well, what a turn up for the books, Kolbe & Rabe being beaten into 2nd place.

Well German Judges are known for pushing their favorites via the component scores. Thats also why Stefan Lindemann won and not Philipp Tischendorf even though Philipp skated a lot better.

Will be interesting to see who gets to do Junior Worlds, as internationally Kolbe & Rabe are doing a lot better compared to Hermann & Hermann.

Very interesting indeed, especially as JW will be in Oberstdorf. I am not that keen on K&R's FD, but their OD, skated at the Oberstdorf Gala recently, was very stylish and mature, and I'd have been surprised if they weren't placed 1st in that section, though in truth I don't know the Hermann's quality of skating, but am assuming they must be good to have beaten K&R, who were definitely the up and coming couple - I even wondered if the German Fed would elevate them to compete in Warsaw in the absence of the Beiers, so I didn't imagine for one moment they would be beaten at Nationals. I am so behind the times!!

Thanks for all the info, links, and updates Sandra.
