Haein Lee's new interview offers a look at how skaters are adapting to the ISU's new rules, particularly the increased emphasis on artistry and non-jump elements. One detail that stood out was the creation of her custom "Choreo Spin," developed to work around chronic back issues while taking advantage of the new regulations.

She also spoke positively about the reduced number of jump passes in the free skate, saying it allows her to focus more on expression, spins, and choreography. Meanwhile, her choreographer, Yeaji Shin, raised concerns about proposals to shorten free skates even further, arguing that it could diminish storytelling and artistry in the sport.

Haein's description is very intriguing re the 'visual illusion of a music box,' that came about via experimenting with unique positions for the choreo spin that would not harm her back. Both her new programs sound like a continuation of her elevating her aesthetic skills. I loved her exhibition last season. And the work her choreographers gave her for both programs, plus the music selections, were top-notch. 👌
