Junhwan Cha

:rofl::rofl:
I love Jun, but he is so much better on ice.
Modelling ... maybe in a couple years time?

He'd look cool... if it wasn't in slow-mo and he wasn't so young, LOL. Good looking kid, but then again, just a kid to me still, ha.

OMG, finally, it’s time for Skate Canada :yahoo:
I hope Jun has fully recovered and did his best at his first GP! Brain must be already back at Canada working with Jun by now ;)
Go Jun, go team Orser! Good luck!

Gah late, but happy birthday!! I've only started following him recently, but he has really captured me. And he's hilarious to boot. Good luck in Skate Canada and don't feel too much pressure! He's so young!!!!:hap10: Is he basically the youngest man in the GPS?

Yeah, he is, which is amazing. I think the next youngest is Vincent, who's exactly a whole year older(born oct. '00). Aliev is 2+ years older and Samarin 3+. Cha would've been plenty young enough(the perfect age, really) to stay juniors and probably dominate given the jr mens field this year, since no other skater seems to have both cha's consistency and quality. But hey, being the best in a small skating country is a blessing and a curse(cause who doesn't want to go to the olympics, i guess). Given his age I just want to enjoy his senior debut, but between his injury(I know it's been nearly 3 months, but still) and korean media's usual crazy unrealistic expectations, I'm feeling on the edge.... either way, good luck, brilliant young thing!

Luckily, he is training in Canada which should give him some breathing space and Orser should be able to share some experience he have from Hanyu (crazy expectations and extreme popularity).

Yep, between Yuna and Hanyu Orser does know a thing or two about prepping superstars for competition... indeed, I'm glad he's safely away in canada, lol.

PRAYER CIRCLE FOR JUNHWAN HAVING CUT HIS HAIR BEFORE HIS SENIOR DEBUT.:ghug: Please, Junhwan's mom, do not let your son go out there as a poofy mushroom.

:laugh2: Agree, at least trim a bit of it. Although I still like him even he is a poofy mushroom, but looking sharp is very important!

I'm worried that his mother will let him keep the mushroom. Please tell me he won't go to the olympics with that. Quick, sponsors, make him get a haircut!

I don't like a guys with long hair it's untidy to looked at. Even when Yuzuru has a long hair I don't like it. But with Baby Jun I think I'll have an exception. I think his face can handle a long hair 😁

I swear that if he doesn't cut his hair I'm gonna start calling him baby mushroom head 😂

It's not a poofy mushroom. It's rather a parachute :cool14: And clearly helps him landing his jumps. So, Baby Jun, stay with your hair style and land safely all your beautiful jumps :luv17:

How is his health? Wasn't he unable to go to Nebelhorn bc of injuries? Hope he is recovering well.

He didnt go to Nelbelhorn because he wasn't qualified at the Korean selection, due to injury back a couple months ago.

I haven't heard any news about his health, but we will know soon, since his first GP is starting tomorrow and reportor will definitely ask the question, or maybe even before the SP, Orser might give some update about his health condition. I think no news is good news, if he is still not recovered, Orser might already give some hints and lower people's expectation beforehand.
