Messing is flying through one of the 4 required hubs to get into Beijing. That's why he has left Vancouver, to fly through Montreal.

I don't think the COC would have announced that he is going to Montreal to get to Beijing if they couldn't find him a flight. I mean, he was in Vancouver which is much closer to Beijing... It really looks like they had to fly to Montreal to secure an itinerary for him. Of course, this is still pending that last PCR test to be negative.

I think there are specifics about how they can get to Beijing which is probably behind him going to Montreal

Keegan IS a Rock Star in my world. I'm just so happy that he'll be there to represent Canada as their Men's National Champion

I just saw this on Facebook Per Canadian media, Keegan has passed his fourth and final PCR test. He will fly from Montreal to Milan to Beijing and will be there on Feb 7, the day before the mens individual short.

I just hope he was climatizing himself in Vancouver to Beijing time. This is kind of one of those stories. I havnen't seen tv but I wonder if Paeacock and johnny and Tara have commented. Now let his skates arrive. And for goodness sake Keegan if you have nothing to wear to skate in do not go shirtless again - like covid and colds you don't need to test fate. I hope someone ran and got him a nice black turtleneck and black pull on stretchy pants. Stick on a few olympic pins or canadian pins on one sidee of the nck and run it down the arm. Voila back up outfit. It is asking too much that he skate clean and win a bronze with the talent but maybe after olympics at worlds he can get a medal. His skating can compete and beat Vinnie and Jason. If Hanyu and Nathan retire post games who knows. He is battlign it with Daniel, Mark, Morsi, Vinnie, Jason and expecting the Japanese to get 1 and 2. But for now Go KEEGAN GO!

I just think it's a plane flying travesty as he was closer probably in time and distance to flying out to China from Vancouver (yes I know and read about the limited airports to fly out of to Beijing, etc) and now it's Around the World (or half of it) in like 2 days. His body clock hopefully won't be horribly confused. Poor guy. Isn't jet lag worse if you are traveling East vs going West over the date line? Just thinking of what may have happened if he had made the Team Event, though of course that ship has sailed already. Prayers for negative tests upon arrival in Beijing and good luck Keegan in the Mens comps!

He’s made the final warm up group at Worlds several times already. Just a little more Keegan!

A guy who wins his Nationals after a harrowing trip to get there, having to break in new skates , and then skates well on his own ones, is a guy who can handle another harrowing trip crossing time lines. Yay Keegan!
