Ladies LP - actual competition

She beats Alissa though, with less technical content than at National's! I think all that favoritism at National's is being exposed right here.

Perhaps but don't forget the 5 point lead Czisny had on Rachel at the start.

I think she got about the same score here as at Nats (around 107/108 something)...?

Wow, Amelie Lacoste skating really well! So much attack, like she's got nothing to lose. The audience is really cheering her on. Shoot, pops a lutz that never got off the ground, and then hands down on a 3S. (or was it 3R, missed entry)

National's is generally inflated, just differently for different skaters, at least this year. Alissa scored slightly less in the LP at National's than Rachael, and again here. But Alissa's LP here is better (no falls), and Rachael's worse (popped 2S, worse spins).

ETA: just compare the PCS's. Alissa got 3 points more here, whereas at National's she got 8 more or something outrageous like that.

3lo-2lo-2lo good - commentator says last 2lo ur on replay
3f good
3s-2t
3lo-2t not as flowy but done
1lz botched takeoff
3s from turns - hand down
step seq a bit slow
2a flipped off landing

she's reasonably pleased - came close to being a great program for her; definitely a step up anyway. Not the flair of Suzuki, but not bad at all. Rather steady performance, though a bit slower toward end. Spins not spectacular, but well-centred. Would be nice to see her pick up some speed as she picks up confidence/experience

96.40 -- 146.18 -- 4th

really good placement for what she did - skaters before her did lutz and more - she has quality just not quantity

WORD!

Rachael needs a makeover and hopefully her people will work on that in the summer. But for now she's getting the job done. There is always room for improvement for a young skater like her.

The ladies are looking very, very good in warmup. Good luck to all of
the ladies.

that dress did nothing for her - and the short program dress is worse
