The primary reason I think is that the other young Russian ladies ahead of her at Nationals were too young to go to senior Worlds, but also because unlike the USA, Russia weighs the skaters' abilities over the course of competitions like Nationals, Europeans, or Jr. Worlds, not just the 1 National Championship. Leonova is certainly the best Russian lady overall, I think.

I'm kinda worried about Rochette skating right after Asada. I have feeling Asada is going to land some crazy jumps tonight since she screwed up in the short, and Joannie might lose her composure after the arena goes crazy for Mao. I hope I'm wrong.

I do not care what the score is for this Russian lady is because tonight was the best I have seen a Russian lady skate for a loooooong time. And Koodos for her coach too. I like to see new freash faces in the coaching ranks as well.

How old is Leonova?

Her skating skills, spins, and everything could use much improvement. But what I like was her energy, personality, and ability to engage the audience. Did you see that emotion before starting her straight-line steps, and also at the end of the program? That's important that a young skater is not afraid of performing.

What a solid jumper she is this season. Could be a little more graceful at times but great job for her. Love watching a skater enjoying themselves.

She was me too and I switched to NBC. Two skaters of Scott was enough for me to abandon the lovely HD picture and return to Bold - PJ's not so bad!
