As good as it was...I got the feeling Brian didn't skate to win. He skated not to lose. There was no fire there at all. His Cup of Russia performance was head and shoulders above this and not just because of the three quads he did that night. There just seemed to lack any fire that Brian normally brings to any skate.

Congratulations to him on a great Worlds. After all the problems he's had the last few years, Brian really does deserve this. :)
 
Awww....Daksuke's just bawling. Isn't that great!! So thrilled for him to put that down on home ice. :biggrin:

4t hand down / 3a / 3a2t / back upright ch upright with lovely pos and very good speed / music changes to the carshing chords and the O ftwrk mimics it beautifully and flows / back cam starts combo spin ending in layback / music change again and his demour changes / 3f3t / the crowd is just roaring every time he lands a jump / 3f2t2l / 3l / 3f / 3s / flysit little bobble on the landing but carried it off / huge roar as he sets up a the boards for strt ftwrk to familiar phantom theme / the clapping is so loud it almost drowns out the music (that isn't quiet) - wonderful foot work / and his cosing spin is great - fast and true / he's sobbing
