I've turned the ceremony on just in time for our athletes. Beards on face masks as the greetings to Samková, who can't be there because of the fracture of her legs.

I just realised - I don't actually know if there is anybody from Northern Ireland in either the Irish or British teams this year. I haven't really been paying much attention to the build up to these Olympics.

I'm watching the Basic Novice skaters at the Reykjavik International Games at the moment. But, when I eventually play catch-up on the Opening Ceremony, I'll have a cheer for the Aussie and Maltese teams for you!

The mask are necessary but quite annoying if you want to spot certain athletes. So far I was unsuccessful too.
