Y'all can probably tell I don't pay attention to page and post counts. (My 10,000th post not being dedicated to Patrick was brought up as a stain :shame: to my Pchiddy fandom! )

What I love and am proud of this thread is its character and integrity. We are positive and supportive and fun loving here. This has not been a place of bitterness, commiseration, blames, belittling or bashing of anybody. This was started as a shelter and over the years we've kept out all the outside attitudes and behaviors that made a safe haven necessary to begin with. Disagreements are dealt with in civility, with rational debates, humour and most importantly, acceptance. We don't miss opportunities to be appreciative, joyful, playful, entertained and entertaining, and even for some good ribbing of each other. ;) Thank you all being being here with me and such good company. :thank:

my dearest VB :) i was teasing you about the 10000th post... we all know how dedicated you have been to our chiddy boy and for how long you have challenged those who were just there to bash him... I am approaching the big number too.... i hope i don't screw up LOL

for the rest of your wonderfully crafted post, thank you!!! you are saving me from trying to write something half as beautiful ... I still try with English LOL :)

But if I may... here is what I love about this fan fest, it is made of people who are kind and loving and it shows. The level of sophistication of the human beings in this fan fest is unique on this forum.

Kiss kiss kiss for swooning ;)

PS I think Julia's is also longer :) but yeah Patrick's fan fest is one of the most active one lately and what is extremely valuable for me, is the level of the discussion, and the contributions we all bring in....

We could totally go shopping together if you would like, I have wonderful taste in these kinds of things, plus I could give the "skater opinion" of what would be liked by the object of your affections. ;)

It's been announced that he's going already. --but it's hard to compete with the younger ones coming up. Yuzu understands Patrick more these days I think. They seem more chatty than previously.

I think Yuzuru is getting more comfortable in English. He didn't seem to make close friends with non Japanese before.

yup... life.... in a few years, yuzu will retire... shoma will be an uncle... and patrick a saint :) oh wait... he already is ;)

However, I did tweet this quote from Jesse Owens to Patrick today, so I hope he keeps his friends for many years to come!

that's a beautiful quote and knowing how many friends patrick has from skating, it will resonate with him for sure.

Speaking of friends, wouldn't we all love to get a personal birthday greeting from Patrick? Well, Bea (the fan who waved that "CHANpion is back" banner at Four Continents 2016 after Patrick won) just got one from Patrick! Watch here:

It's only five seconds, but I really like the way he sounded! Especially when he says "you're welcome" at the end, it sounds so warm and genuine. What a great guy! :agree:
