It is wonky, because for some reason Chukyo TV decided to cut out some parts of the program (steps into 3L and transitions into StSq, and a part of the StSq). They tried to cover the parts where the program was cut by adding a fade-in between the cut part of the music, and it ended up sounding weird.
The full version of the program will be aired on August 18th, IIRC.
ETA: Actually, it looks like the Osaka version was aired today:

That's surprising, I read that no cameras were rolling on that day.
Anyway, there's no annoying music skip during the step sequence.Love everything but the flying camel - I think a flying sit would suit this music better, but it seem the new rules made the flying sit rather unpopular. The combo spin and the layback are gorgeous here, though.

The music cut is a little strange in Mao's program. When she did this program before, the Nocturne was just played straight through. This one seems to add in a repetition of some of the music--I'm not sure why. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJ5nkNEw1UA&feature=player_detailpage&t=77 And she is still having trouble with her jumps. Mao is a lovely skater--probably the top one or two in artistry right now. But she needs those jumps. Her triple axel is far from consistent. And here, she missed the triple flip, too, which is one of her better jumps. It's too early to judge, of course. I hope she fixes these problems as the season goes on.

It has nothing to do with being muscular, udmurt, etc. Why do you think that many skaters who came back after a retirement period are losing weight? Because even if they are very fit for normal people they clearly weight more that it is supposed to. IMO Liza's skating changed and IMO it is because of the weight. If weight isn't affecting her skating and her health at all, well, she can have 100000 pounds, I don't care because it is not a beauty contest. :scowl:
