Thank you for the heads up. Tatsuki seems confident in himself after his unofficial practice today.
His graduation thesis is going to be pretty satisfying. That's a good news. :)

Glad to know all his hard work and sacrifice to complete his graduation thesis seem to have paid off.

Tatsuki will be skating last in the SP

Update: He doesn't look too thrilled with his pick

:) His reaction reminds me of that after his TEB SP performance. Hopefully Japanese Nationals will be a case of Tatsuki saving his best for last. Go Tatsuki!

From practice reports it was said that he seemed to be landing his jumps quite well today! Good luck!

No live streaming of Japanese Nationals but read reports of a clean SP from Tatsuki, 90.16 in second place behind Yuzuru. Hoping also for a clean LP tomorrow so that Tatsuki will secure his Worlds berth. Go Tatsuki!

The video should be up soon but I just read some reports that he's crying  I hope he's not disappointed with himself!

I'm confused. Why is he crying? Why would a clean SP from him score "only" 90.16 at Nationals? I've been too preoccupied with Russian Nationals...

I was expecting a Skate America like score after I read the live reports but I'm confused.

Based on the protocol, Tatsuki's spins and step sequence are level3 and level2. He lost points here. I don't believe this is right.

Can you link url to protocols ? Thanks

Tatsuki also lost levels at GPF so propably he needs to improve it in this area a bit

I don't really understand levels, but his spins look great to me. I love watching him skate, and his short program is definitely my favorite this season.

To me this program looks the same as Skate America and I think it should have scored at least a 92 but I'm no technical specialist.

Thanks Ionap for the links. Tatsuki in tears just plucks at my heart strings. I think those are tears of relief of giving a great performance after his critics and doubters have gotten louder after the GPF. Tatsuki proves that he cannot be counted out. I hope he builds on this and shows
his great LP to full potential tomorrow.
