The Ladies 3A Club

Yes, and was Kimmie's 3A ratified at anywhere else except for Nationals? Everytime Mao has skated in Japan in the last 2~3 seasons, she has completed the 3A. If Kimmie has never landed it in an international competition, then it's even worse for her.

Mao's 3A in JAPAN since 2004 (under CoP)

2004.11 Western Japan Sectionals(Junior) - fall
2004.11 Japanese Junior Nationals - clean
2004.12 Japanese Naionals - clean
2005.3 Chubu Nihon Championship - clean
2005.12 Grand Prix Final - clean
2005.12 Japanese Nationals - landed twice, clean
2006.5 Japan Open - clean
2006.12 NHK Trophy, stepped out, GOE-1.8
2006.12 Japanese Nationals - clean, GOE+1.8

I'm guessing that Midori Ito is the only female ever to do a 3A in combination? I remember seeing her land a 3A/3T. She was so far ahead technically for her time..

Not rhetorical, SS. Just checking because she didn't win GPF and I did not see it. She has done a lot, and I think she will win Worlds.

At the 2005 nationals, Mao landed a 3A-2T. She's never done it at an international competition.

I thought Tonya also did a 3 A/2 toe (I think it was at SA heading into '92, but I couldn't swear to it -- I think that was also where she did a 3A in her SP)

Kimmie has grown a lot since she first landed that 3A in Portland. She is now what I would call 'long stemmed'. Not unlike a Ballanchine dancer. And what all those Boys are Standing on the Corner to Watch. ;)

I have always believed that air rotations are easier for short people. Didn't Mao have a spurt growth and a bit of trouble with the 3A? Wish she would have one to 4CC.
