Well, I'll be danged. Mykayla Skinner is taking a year off from NCAAs and looking great for such a short practice time. She went out there and threw down a bar routine which quite frankly scared me a bit (she threw huge difficulty in it). Lots of form errors but successful completion with no falls. I wish there were more than 4 spaces for the Olympic team. Fortunately next Olympiad we are back up to 5, but that doesn't help these ladies. Simone had an off night, but is still leading by a lot. Night 2 note: Trinity Thomas (NCAA - Florida) is there competing tremendous difficulty - unfortunately not always successfully, but great job getting here after the NCAA season.
i may or may not have asked this a while ago, but what is the reasoning for the team only being 4 next year? and then being bumped back up to 5? doesn't make much sense to me...
anyone have any predictions as we get closer to Tokyo who will make the US womens team? i think we have a ton of talent that was made evident last weekend and its gonna be really hard to narrow it down.
