2015 Worlds Ladies Free Skate March 28

God, I'm surprised Lena didn't puke after her LP. She looks terrible...

We have to admit that would make great figure skating. But it just fantasy I don't see them coming back

I haven't heard much out of the Mao camp, but out of all of them I could see her coming back with a Yuna like comeback. No GPs. One senior B and Worlds every year. Not sure how JSF would handle that though.

OK. Gold didn't medal bcause of a mediocre short. BUT, that little girl from Japan with the silver is just not on the same level as the other top women. The ISU again rewarding light-weight girls who because of their size can jump and spin fast. The audience doesn't understand this and it's hurting the sport. Not yet a complete skater. Lena also held up a bit.

Congratulations to US women who pulled themselves up so well today.

That "little girl" is the second-oldest person on the podium and is nearly the same size as the other two.

One thing I'm quite pleased about is that these Russian girls have made so much improvement since last year.
If our uh Olympic champion finally decides to move her royal self and attend competitions, she'll be in shock.

If anyone is narrowly looking at size, it's you. Satoko's free program is by far the best of the ladies this season. The judges ding her plenty for the tiny jumps but she should be getting higher PCS.

So I guess I can finally watch the rest of the Men's SP now that we're done here.

thanks… so satoko does this since she doesn't do the 3Lz+3T in the FS while most girls will do 2A+3T and a triple triple… got it… thanks.
You can repeat 3 jumps twice. If you do 2A+3T twice, you've used up 2 of 3 jumps you're allowed to repeat. You could alternatively do 3Lo+3T, but not in the same FS because you have already performed the 3T twice.

Sorry, but I find Elena and Satoko completely lacking in grace & musicality. No artistry. I don't know how they placed 2cd & 3rd. My friend and I were shocked that they scored so high.
This sport is really changing.

I have forgotten I guess. What does it mean?

It was in reply to Karlowen's comment:

Tara won in 1998 over Michelle. Tara, queen of tiny jumps.

Prediction: next year there'll be a rule that combinations can't be repeated (i.e., Satoko doing two 2A-3Ts in her FS).

So I want to get a nap between now and men's but laying down/moving would require disturbing two ginger cats and a ginger human. . . .I may just power through the night.

I'd say it differently, you are allowed to repeat only two kinds of triples, and at least one of them must be in combo. The max amount of 2A in one program is two, but they don't have to be in combo in other to repeat.

Btw, you can do 2A-3T and 3Lo-3T in the same skate, but then you can repeat only T and Lo.

I thought Satoko was adorable and I liked her performance.
I also enjoyed E. Turk. (spelling is not my strong suit, sorry) a lot and applaud her for not trying to be like everyone else or an ice princess. You be you.

I would have been happy to see Ashley on the podium but all the American girls killed themselves in the short.

I hope Anna P. is okay and that no one who had a bad skate loses faith in themselves.

Maybe, but I feel Mao has a taste of freedom life without skating and I don't she has any motivation to comeback. She doesn't want to go to next Olympic, she has money and has won almost anything in the sport.
