A very enjoyable short programme with a lot of variety and styles in the programmes.
The top 3 are well clear of the rest of field, deservedly so, I think the rest of the teams are too far back to challenge for the podium. M/M have a deserved lead, they really seemed to be enjoying themselves, sold the programme well and are improving all the time. B/S have real power and are well matched as a team, I like this programme, I thought he needs to work on the presentation a bit. My favourites this year have been A/S, they have a real pizzaz about them, I think he is one of the best male presenters out there, not so sure what puberty will do to this team.
I like G/S but against some of the other couples they lack the wow factor, I'm not sure what the long term future is for them but I like what they and their long is one of my favourites. Some of the other couples I never heard but I was very impressed with S/P, they looked like Ice Dancers but have tonnes of potential, their sbs jumps were pretty strong. M/S left a good impression as did Z/B who had a great idea behind their programme.
Interesting that some of the teams on the JGP are only ranked 8 - 10 but it's all very close so there could be a lot of movement in the free. I thought the couple in 12 M/s were a bit harshly marked they had some good elements, I wouldn't have that far behind every one else.
It will be interesting to see if many of the team bring sbs triples to the free. I think lots of countries would be happy to have this talent at a senior level never mind junior, Russia has huge depth in Pairs at the moment.
