I heard that 4F was giving him some trouble. I hope not. Please stay healthy!Me too. Hopefully is just limiting the amount of competing to gear up for GPF and beyond.

I wish you have a wonderful time at Nebellhorn Trophy.

Patrick is off the list for Nebelhorn

I hope everything is fine with him.
Patrick will include 4F if he feels its execution will be smoothly incorporated into the program. So I guess it depends on how comfortable he's with it. He's cautiously ambitious and not rushing it.
Well. That is not what he said in the latest interview.
Patrick: Yeah, I’m feeling confident with that decision… More so adding a second quad in the short, more so than adding a quad flip to the long program at the moment. There’s just so much in the sport of figure skating now, there’s so much to juggle, and for the way I skate and the way I want to skate at the Olympics, I don’t want to compromise anything else in order to add a more difficult quad. I don’t want to sacrifice anything for that. So, that being said, the best move forward for me was to add a quad sal to the short program, up the value of the short, to give me a little more breathing room for the long program. So that’s the plan so far with, and then we’re keeping the two quad, one sal plan in the long program for the time being, because I also want to… With pieces like “Hallelujah” and “Dust in the Wind”, I really want to do them justice. And I think I wouldn’t help the programs if I added another quad; especially if I was struggling with it. And… unless it’s like easy and it’s flowing, like a quad toe of mine, it’s… I don’t think there’s much benefit in that, because it will sacrifice a lot for the type of skater that I am.
That seems like such a long wait when we were expecting to see them next weekend.
hwell: But it is just a Senior B. I wish Patrick good health and happiness moving forward. He rarely has withdrawn from a competition, so there must be a valid reason. I trust Patrick. If there is something more substantial to announce later, such as an injury, he will announce it. He wants to skate well at the Olympics, and if skipping Nebelhorn will help with that, so be it. Chiddy fans, let's have a
. Given how fans on GS have jumped on Gracie for announcing why she's not going to JO, maybe it's a wise move for Patrick not to say anything. The way i hear it is that he is not planning to add a quad flup as it is not flowing as his 4t. You can hear it adding a not ready yet tone to it, but i hear it otherwise. Thanks for showing your view of the situation. I still think he will not add the 4f and i would go further saying he is not seriously practicing it. Why? Last year, he was marking the 4s early on and kept saying it was almost ready. I do not see him doing any marking for now nor hearong that he is getting it ready. Ymmv.
Well, I'm sad that we won't get to see Dust in the Wind or Hallelujah again until the end of October. That seems like such a long wait when we were expecting to see them next weekend.

There is neither confirmation no explanation of his withdrawal from Nebelhorn. vivley's examination of info sources shows inconsistency. We have to wait to know what happens re Nebelhorn. Whenever we get to see DITW and Hallelujah again, I wish to see Patrick in good health and spirits, and the programs well performed.
eta. There is an/another oddity on Nebelhorn's Mens entries list. Where Patrick's name is supposed to appear, the TPE skater's name is inserted out of place. Could it a related snafu?
We'll see.I thought TPE is up there because, "Chinese Taipei". I checked ACI's list to be sure: Meng Ju Lee from TPE is listed right after Nam, so I don't think it was a mistake. There is neither confirmation no explanation of his withdrawal from Nebelhorn. vivley's examination of info sources shows inconsistency. Of course all this is deductional and hypothetical. As usual, I will simply watch how things unfold.
keep sipping the tea while the truth unfolds![]()

I knew TPE was Taiwan/Chinese Taipei but thought they would list them alphabetically by the abbreviation. After all, they didn't use CTP. I wonder how they list TPE in the Olympics.

I agree with fypchan that the abbreviations seem to be intentionally *not* the basis for alphabetization.
For ACI, the men from ESP are listed after those from JPN.
For Nebelhorn, the men from KOR are listed after those from POL.
