ashley and mirai low balled, bradie held up so far...i'm afraid for karen. ashley should have been around 68-69, bradie 71-72, mirai 74.

The good thing about Ashley is the usual info. She likes being the underdog, she skates better when she's mad, she LIVES for the drama, and she skates better in the long program.

That’s what I was thinking. Being 4th or 5th after the short is where she thrives (hopefully).

And for your information Mirai beat the previous record too. And with a mistake! At least Bradie was clean

Yeah, a clean Mirai would simply slay a clean Bradie lol. As someone said earlier, she would have close to 78-80 if she had landed the 3A the way she did in practice.

Ashley's PCS are bizarrely low - especially after reading months of conspiracy theorizing about how badly USFS wants her on the team. I don't know what to think.

Re: Bradie's PCS - it could be that after many many seasons of backing inconsistent but wonderful ladies, USFS has decided to throw their weight behind a consistent (still wonderful) one. And one already past puberty! (I find her PCS to be fine, generally, other than my opinion that Ashley should really be a few points higher than her.)

Ashley’s lowballing in PCS nationally is stupid. Even with the mistakes, she is ahead of everyone else in 4 out of 5 categories. Just ridiculous. She should have scored a 68 with that program, if you are giving Bradie and Mirai 73’s with theirs. At least she is only a point or so from 3rd right now.

lol tell me how she can get 68 with that kind of skate? She did well in 3Lo and 2A but clearly UR and on top of that step out from that 3F-3T which cant be saved by TP. She get 65 with almost 33 PCS (32.94 iirc) she need almost 36 PCS to ger 68... Are you really saying she deserve 36 PCS?

Actually the USFSA has spoken loud and clear about hyping up Bradie - through her score here.

If you take a look at Mirai's international scores, and Bradie's, it's very clear that Bradie was inflated big time. And Ashley was actually scored down compared to that too. So USFSA wants Bradie for the new queen.

Again, reading tea leaves. Do you know for a fact that the federation instructs all the U.S. judges to "inflate Bradie and deflate everyone else"? I find it implausible that American judges would be commandeered in this way. Russians, yes, but it's contrary to the American ethos of "meritocracy," however fallacious that idea is.

Ashley's stock is tanking now that international judges thought she is no longer competitive. US judges put her back in her place. Weak skating skills shouldn't Get high pcs.

The international judges were still giving her high PCS, so??? And her skating skills are demonstrably better now than in the past. They're hardly that mediocre compared to much of what we'll see at nationals and the olympics

I think they meant at a US nationals. Its the highest SP score for US lady at nationals.

Not sure about 4/5. I assume the one you're leaving out is TR, but does she really have the best SS either? Otherwise I essentially agree.

She would score even lower internationally.

She gots higher PCS at SC where the performance was worse imo, which is weird.
